Introduction to Webquest

    Before we begin reading The Count of Monte Cristo, you will complete a series of eight tasks to develop background knowledge of the historical events surrounding the novel. In addition to building historical background, you will also learn about the novel's author. The Count of Monte Cristo is a suspense-filled novel written by author Alexandre Dumas, and focuses on the story of a young sailor who suffers betrayal and seeks revenge.
